Institutional risk desk · now on MT5
One rogue EA can wipe out your account. Contain it.
Hedge funds never let one strategy trade the whole fund. Each gets its own book, its own capital and a hard loss limit. Virtual Risk Desk brings that architecture to MQL5 traders for the first time: per-EA capital Passports, a central reserve and loss limits, enforced on every tick.

The problem
Your EAs share one balance. That's the flaw.
Run three EAs on one account and you've given each of them the keys to all of it. Accounts aren't lost on normal days. They're lost on the day one of these happens:
The rogue EA
A grid or recovery EA keeps adding into a trend. Its floating loss eats the margin every other EA needs.
Overlapping drawdowns
Three EAs that each look fine draw down in the same week. Nobody was watching the combined number.
The news spike
NFP or a rate decision gaps price through every stop. Spreads widen, fills slip, the stop-out takes everything.
The prop-firm daily limit
One bad afternoon breaches the daily drawdown rule and the funded account is gone, along with the fee.
Then there's the slow leak: capital parked as oversized buffers in separate accounts because every vendor says “fund $10,000”, doing nothing.
The double act
$149 that pays for itself two ways
Defence contains the blowup. Yield puts idle capital back to work. Illustrative example
$10,000 account, three EAs, one bad week
EA C, a grid, runs into a news-driven trend and keeps adding.
| No desk | VRD Complete | |
|---|---|---|
| EA A · trend | −$400 | −$400 |
| EA B · scalper | −$300 | −$300 |
| EA C · grid | −$5,800 | −$1,150 |
| Account loss | −$6,500 | −$1,850 |
| Difference | +$4,650 (31×) |
No desk: margin stop-out closes everything. With VRD: Guardian freezes EA C at its −$1,000 Passport limit (filled with slippage at −$1,150); A and B keep trading.
Same three EAs, capital sized on evidence
Each vendor “recommends” $10,000. Funding them separately parks $30,000.
| Vendor sizing | Passports | |
|---|---|---|
| EA A | $10,000 | $2,000 |
| EA B | $10,000 | $1,500 |
| EA C | $10,000 | $2,500 |
| Shared reserve | n/a | $4,000 |
| Capital committed | $30,000 | $10,000 |
| Freed for other use | $20,000 |
Sizing comes from each EA's own backtest via Quant. Sometimes the evidence says an EA needs more than the vendor claims. Better to find out before it costs you.
How the desk works
Four layers between your EAs and a blown account
See every EA
Profit, drawdown, profit factor and open exposure per EA and magic number.
Size it on evidence
Turn a backtest into a lot size, operating capital and a reserve.
Separate the books
Each EA runs on its own allocation, backed by a central reserve under your rules.
Enforce the limits
Daily, total and per-EA limits. Alert, freeze or close on breach. Prop mode and news windows.
One EA blowup costs more than the whole suite.
VRD Complete contains single-EA blowups and frees capital you have parked as idle buffers. $149 at launch pricing.
Objections
“Do I really need this?”
“My EA already has a stop loss.”
A stop loss limits one trade. It doesn't stop a grid opening the next one, or three EAs drawing down on the same day. VRD limits each EA's total damage and the account's combined exposure.
“My EA has its own drawdown setting.”
That setting only knows about its own trades, and it's written by the vendor selling the EA. VRD is an independent desk sitting above every EA, enforcing your rules, not theirs.
“I'll just watch it myself.”
Blowups happen at 3am, on news, or while you're at work. Guardian watches every tick and acts on the rules you set in advance.
“$149 is a lot for a utility.”
Compare it with the account it's protecting. On a $10,000 account, one contained blowup in the example below is worth over $4,000. $149 is about 1.5% of that account, paid once.

What is Virtual Risk Desk?
Virtual Risk Desk (VRD) is a MetaTrader 5 risk suite for traders who run several Expert Advisors on one account. It gives each EA its own capital Passport and loss limits, backed by a central reserve, and tracks every EA separately.
Does it guarantee I won't lose money?
No. Nothing can. VRD contains losses to the limits you set by freezing or closing an EA when it breaches them. Fills can be worse than the limit in gaps, fast markets or connection loss, and the EAs you run can still lose money.
Does it work with my EA?
VRD works with EAs from any vendor. It identifies each one by its magic number. It does not open trades and only acts on EAs you authorise.
Will it slow down or interfere with my EAs?
It runs as a separate EA on its own chart and only intervenes when a rule you set is hit: alert, freeze, delete pending orders or close that EA's positions.
Is it allowed on prop firm accounts?
VRD is a standard MT5 Expert Advisor. Prop firm rules vary, so check your firm's terms. Guardian's prop mode monitors daily and total drawdown at broker server time; it can't guarantee you pass a challenge.
Why $149?

Yes. Every MQL5 product can be tested in the MT5 Strategy Tester before you buy, and VRD Insight, the per-EA stats tracker, is free.
